Jerma's a twitch streamer and some of his fans did a deepfake of him in a 2 minute scene from American Psycho. There are lots of moments where it's obviously faked, but way too much of it looked legitimate at a glance.
And to think that was the lazy joke.
It's both creepy, hilarious, and terrifying to think about how that technique will improve in the future when combined with facial recognition technology abuse.
this sounds like some cyberpunk thriller/horror story ready to happen and its scary to thing that such tecnology will improve either for the best or more likely for the worst

Luckily they are also developing AI to... recognize AI fakes.
But it is also strange that in the future we will have to rely on AI to protect us from it. I absolutely expect them to be used for political smear campaigns soon, if they aren't already.
